Introduction 

    
      I have chosen to create a unit on Native Americans. This is a topic I am very passionate about. I am very fascinated in the Native American culture and how beautifully diverse it is. Their history here in America is very important to understand our own place here in America. it was once populated entirely by these people and I think that we need to realize that the land we own today was once theirs. It is really interesting and sort of eerie, to think about how many Natives died trying to defend this land that some of us take for granted.
     
     This websites contains the unit that I created with five lessons within it. If I were to have had more time, I would have created more lessons that would have linked the lessons together that I have already made.  Also, within this website you will find a summative assessment, a summary of The Walleye War, and an annotated bibliography with many wonderful resources.Through these lessons, I had two essential questions that I wanted my students to be able to answer:

            Why is there conflict among people and what are its effects?

            How are stereotypes formed?
